Setting up the SwiftPro K65 is straightforward. Start by placing the printer on a stable surface, connecting the power, and choosing your connection method (USB or Ethernet). The K65 includes a USB 2.0 connection terminal and a LAN (Ethernet) connection terminal.
1) Install the driver/software
Download and install the latest SwiftPro K65 driver from the official K65 support page (drivers and manuals are available there).
2) Load cards and consumables
Load cards into the card hopper and ensure the printer shows a “Ready” status before printing. The K65 quick guide also notes that the printer will display messages like “Initializing…” or “Preheating…” until it is ready.
Install the ink ribbon and retransfer film by following the cassette labels, then close the printer door and initialise/reset the printer from the operation panel if prompted.
USB Installation
Connect the K65 to your PC using the supplied USB 2.0 cable, then complete driver installation (or confirm the driver can see the printer). The quick guide identifies the USB cable connection terminal on the printer.
Open your card software/print settings and select the SwiftPro K65 as the printer, then print a test card once the printer shows “Ready.”
Ethernet (Network) Installation
Connect the K65 to your network using an Ethernet (LAN) cable and power on the printer. The quick guide identifies the LAN cable connection terminal on the printer
Install the K65 driver from the support page, then add/select the printer on your network in your printing software and run a test print once the printer indicates it is “Ready.”
