The DASCOM DC-3300 YMCKO Half Panel Printer Ribbon is a genuine consumable designed for use with the DASCOM DC-3300 Direct-to-Card Printer. Featuring a half-panel YMCKO (Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Black, Overlay) configuration, this ribbon is optimised for cards that require full-colour printing on a specific area — such as photos or logo panels — while helping to extend ribbon life and reduce costs.

When paired with the DC-3300 printer, the half panel ribbon delivers vibrant full-colour images and crisp black text where it’s needed most. The integrated overlay (O) panel adds a protective coating that helps shield the printed surface from scratches, fading, and everyday wear, ensuring your ID cards maintain a sharp and professional finish.

With a yield of up to 600 prints, the YMCKO half panel ribbon offers excellent value for organisations producing partial-colour ID cards at volume — combining cost efficiency with reliable performance.

Cleaning Best Practices for the Dascom DC-3300

The Dascom DC-3300 should be cleaned regularly to maintain print quality, reduce card feed issues, and extend the life of key components such as the printhead and transport rollers. As best practice, replace the cleaning roller every time you change the ribbon to help protect the printhead and maintain consistent results.

For routine maintenance, clean the card transport rollers using a Dascom cleaning card approximately every 250 cards (or sooner if cards do not feed smoothly). Cleaning cards are single-use only and must be inserted with the adhesive side facing down each time you run the cleaning cycle.

Always keep cards clean and undamaged to reduce dust and debris entering the print path, and avoid using household cleaners inside the printer. Before performing any maintenance, power off and disconnect the printer, and allow the printhead to cool after printing.

Using Dascom-approved consumables and following the recommended cleaning routine helps ensure reliable feeding, consistent print performance, and minimal downtime.

High-Output, High-Definition ID Printing

The Dascom DC-3300 is a high-performance, direct-to-card printer built for fast, consistent ID card production in busy environments. It delivers sharp print quality up to 300 x 1200 dpi (selectable via the driver) and supports edge-to-edge printing for professional results. With throughput of 220+ full-colour cards per hour and a 100-card automatic feeder (optional higher-capacity feeder available), it’s ideal for organisations producing medium-to-large card volumes.

Simple Operation + Easy Maintenance

The Dascom DC-3300 is designed for straightforward day-to-day use, with an on-printer control panel and driver tools for settings and maintenance. To maintain print quality and reliable feeding, Dascom recommends cleaning the transport rollers using a cleaning card after around 250 printed cards. Cleaning cards are single-use only and should be inserted with the adhesive side facing down each time you run a cleaning cycle. The cleaning roller should also be replaced every time you change the ribbon to protect the printhead and help ensure consistent output.

Flexible Connectivity & Upgrade Options

The Dascom DC-3300 supports USB and Ethernet connectivity, making it easy to install as a local printer or deploy on a network. It can be configured with an optional duplex unit for double-sided printing, and it supports a variety of encoder options for more advanced credential requirements. For added protection, the DC-3300 platform also supports security features such as RFID ribbon encryption and custom watermark (.BMP) overlay capability, helping strengthen card authenticity and reduce the risk of misuse.

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes. The Dascom DC-3300 is supplied with a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty, giving you dependable coverage for everyday ID card printing.

Does it come with consumables?

The Dascom DC-3300 is typically supplied without printing consumables (such as ribbons and blank cards), allowing you to choose the options that best match your card designs and volume requirements.

In the box, you can expect the essentials to get started with installation, such as the printer, power/adapter, USB cable, and the included software/driver media (CardEditor and drivers).

If you’re purchasing a bundle, consumables may be included depending on the package, so it’s always worth confirming what’s supplied with your specific configuration.

How do I set up the printer once i get it?

Setting up the Dascom DC-3300 is straightforward. Start by making sure both the printer and your computer are switched off before connecting any data cable. Connect the power supply to the printer, then choose your connection method (USB or Ethernet) using the ports on the rear of the printer.

USB Installation

Connect the DC-3300 to your PC via USB, then run the Windows driver installer from the supplied CD-ROM/software. Follow the installer prompts to select the correct driver and USB port, then complete the installation.

Ethernet Installation

Connect the printer to an Ethernet switch/router, power on the printer, then run the driver installer from the supplied CD-ROM/software. Use the installer’s network search function to find the printer, select it, and (if required) modify the network/IP settings. Once the printer is selected, continue the installer to assign the driver/port and finish setup.
